There are a few reasons why you may not be able to redeem a code:

  • The title you're trying to redeem may not be able to be sold in your country.
  • You may be in a country where Spotify has not launched audiobooks yet.

If you run into one of these problems, the code won't be able to be redeemed.

Do I need a Spotify account to redeem a code?

Yes, you must have a Spotify account to redeem a code. You'll also need to be in one of the countries where we've launched audiobooks.

Do I have to be a Premium Subscriber to redeem a code?

No, your subscription status doesn't impact your ability to redeem a code.

If you are a Free Subscriber, the audiobook will show up in your library as if you had purchased it.

If you are a Premium Subscriber, your listening to the redeemed title will not count against your monthly listening hours.

I'm already a Spotify Premium subscriber, should I still redeem a code?

Yes! When you redeem a code, the time you spend listening to that audiobook won't count against your normal allocation of monthly listening hours or top-up hours.
